I have to add the last session here due to Wiki issues on the school "Lenovo" (hmm, give me a Mac any day)

Sunday was the last Second Life session and it was held at 11am ( I had breakfast whilst listening to the presentations, In my PJ's that is awsome)

Tuesday 24th January 2012 7:30pm -8:30pm
I was really worried that the technology would not work so I started at 5pm I just waited around. At about 6:30pm other like minded individuals dropped in for the same reason. This was lucky because I realised my sound was not working on my MacBook (its old and a speaker is broken). I trouble shooted this and used another laptop ( a new MacBook Pro). This session was a tour of libraries in Second Life, it was wonderful to do this as a group and listen to the presenters. I have looked around on my own and this way beats that hands down. Unfortunatley me server logged me out at the second space as I had been on for 3 hours.

Images from this session

I got to CSU a little early (but so did some others)

There was a good turn out by 7:30pm (Oh the Unicorn is me, librarians are becoming rare?)

International Schools Island (ISI) Destination One.

Looking around, Chat on the left. It is better to have just the presenters using voice chat and the participants to use chat.

I like the natural environment.

QR_code_in_isi.jpg
A really good way to use QR codes. I took a photo of this and it took me to the avatar in the picture talking, a wonderful use of technology and good use of hardware (re: using peoples mobiles whilst they are in SL.

Not really sure about this iPad island will need to return and work out how to use the apps or work out what to do in here.

The next session in Second Life was a Presentation of two Network Projects. This session was held at CSU, it took me a little while to work out how to sit down.
